The people behind prairie bear books

Deanna is a blogger, writer, Ironworker, and home-owner.  Growing up home-schooled gave Deanna a chance to follow her passions and inspired a love for reading.  When she isn't busy working, she can be found working through a stack of books, trying to figure out a DIY she found on Pinterest, or exploring with friends

Luana Dolan is a property Accountant with Colliers International, who has more than 10 years of Accounting experience within the real estate/ property management market. In her spare time she enjoys reading, going to the gym and travelling with her daughter

Sheila Anderson is the Vice President of Prairie Bear Books. She has a background in Early Childhood Development and has spent over 28 years working with families and children’s who live in poverty and or experience disability.

Most recently, Sheila is celebrating her 16 years with the Inclusion Saskatchewan where she is the current Manager of Employment Education and Transitions. Denise got the idea for Prairie Bear Books while working as a rural librarian where she encountered several individuals looking for gently used books for children and teens that lacked access to books. Until then she hadn't realized this was an issue for youth in Canada.

Denise also runs a small yoga and fitness studio in Saskatchewan. She is a freelance writer, avid gardener and believes in lifelong learning.

Starting writing when she was 12, it's not wonder that her first story was about her pet cat. Erica has worked as a pastry sous chef, an animal care attendant, and freelance writer. She has lived and worked in Hamilton, Ontario, Quebec, Vancouver, Saskatchewan, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Wyoming.
